Sir Ed Davey drops in to visit Bicester repair shop with Calum Miller to discuss the cost of living crisis
Local candidate for Bicester and Woodstock, Cllr Calum Miller, hosted Liberal Democrat leader Sir Ed Davey in Bicester earlier today to highlight the importance of green solutions to the cost of living crisis and to meet with supporters.
During their visit, Calum and Ed stopped by Bicester Green, a local social enterprise dedicated to reconditioning and reclaiming hardware, household items, and bicycles. The visit emphasized the crucial role of such enterprises in promoting sustainability and supporting local economies. This comes on the heels of a recent report by Friends of the Earth, which ranked the Liberal Democrats' green credentials far ahead of the Conservatives and Labour.
Calum said, “Meeting the amazing volunteers at Bicester Green today reinforced my belief that we can solve some of the toughest challenges by working together. When I meet local residents, they tell me that they want to see meaningful action on the cost of living crisis and to address climate change. The Conservatives have let so many people down. The recent local election results show that only the Lib Dems can provide our area with a fresh start.”
