A Fair Deal to Address the Cost of Living Crisis
The Conservatives presided over a cost of living crisis, leaving families struggling to make ends meet. Prices skyrocketed under their watch and essential goods and services have become increasingly unaffordable, with more and more people relying on food banks to survive. Urgent action is needed to provide desperately needed support to those hit hardest by this crisis.
Now Labour want to take away the winter fuel allowance, which will put many pensioners into fuel poverty this winter.
Olly and the Liberal Democrats oppose this measure, and are committed to providing a fair deal that offers real solutions to those in need. Their plan includes:
Windfall Tax on Energy Companies:
The Lib Dems would provide more help to those struggling by tightening the windfall tax on the super-profits of energy companies. Find out more about our national Fair Deal policy at www.libdems.org.uk/plan.
Keeping Water Bills Down:
The Lib Dems are campaigning to keep water bills down. Over a thousand people have signed our petition opposing the proposed 60% increase over five years. Find out more about our Fair Deal plan here: www.libdems.org.uk/plan
